About Prithi
I am an individual with strong ethical views with regards to children and their right to a good education. I want to make a positive contribution in a child's life through providing them with numerous opportunities and positive reinforcement in achieving their best, regardless of their background, gender or ethnicity. Education plays a vital role in a child's life as it opens a whole world of opportunities and provides them to an equal chance of achieving their desired goals.
Teaching is a fulfilling career which justifiably includes its own challenges and rewards. From multi-tasking efficiently in providing an all-round support for children and colleagues in school to updating parents of their child's progress and ensuring that every child is kept safe and developing well throughout their appropriate stage in education. Over the years of gaining teaching experiences, the skills and qualities that I have developed as a learner is being able to express my enthusiasm through delivering hands on experiences to my pupils in a confident manner, allowing myself to develop and evolve my skills to be a better practitioner. This enables me to develop a strong work ethic and encourages me to become a determined learner to progress in to the field of teaching. Despite the challenges, I am determined to demonstrate an important role in children's life and education through my skills and experiences. I have the eagerness to become a great tutor and hope to gain and develop more advance skills within the teaching career.
Studying a degree in Early Childhood has allowed me to gain a clear insight into the way children learn and develop within the early years. I learnt about the different types of theoretical perspectives that may occur in Early Childhood Development. I started to develop my own understanding and skills as a researcher, this is where I had the opportunity to explore how the early childhood practitioners use theoretical and practical research to inform their practice and understanding of children. I started to carry out my own dissertation project, it was based on how young children learn their mathematical skills through physical play. Linking it to my past work experiences, I have put into action of early childhood theories which I have learnt to help develop my knowledge and skills when working with children in schools.
My on-going school experience has allowed me to develop strong planning skills; it has also helped me to build an enthusiastic attitude to ensure good practice is demonstrated across all areas of early years and primary education. I have a proven ability to encourage children to achieve their potential by stimulating their enthusiasm for learning and their determination to succeed. Overall, I look forward to working in a profession that seeks to ensure every child has the best possible start to life.
