About Pari

My name is Pari! I am an undergraduate sophomore at the New York Institute of Technology pursuing a Molecular Biology B.S. degree with a minor in Medical Humanities. Currently, I am striving to pursue medical education and further my career in the realm of Cardiothoracic Surgery. I have experience through my work at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Boston Children's Hospital with policy advocacy, reading, writing, and speaking. I mentor and teach many students privately in the DMV area. I am seeking to teach students in the NYC area!

About the lesson

I have 100+ hours of experience tutoring privately amongst the DMV area and tutoring individuals online from many differnt sectors of the world. I am a youth main coordinator for a temple, where I lead weekly sessions teaching life/career skills and moral ideologies to youth aged from five years to eighteen years. I have experience in reading, writing, and oral speaking/writing with my time spent with research organizations.

I enjoy the rewarding nature of offering tutoring, where as a tutor I embrace being an intriguing hybrid of a teacher, family, friend, fellow learner, and role model. Like successful instructors, effective tutors must also be students in order to keep apprised of the material, and broaden their conceptual understanding. As a tutor, I strive to include the student's skills and talents into multidisciplinary projects and aid in modeling a more expansive understanding of learning that embraces the student’s curiosity. I emphasize making connections from ideas students have already learned to the concepts that they are newly discovering. In conclusion, I regard tutoring as an immensely rewarding and significant endeavor that transcends borders and helps students achieve a greater future, not merely as a method to fulfill the gaps left by the completion of the classroom curriculum.
