About Safiyah
I understand that learning a language can feel challenging or even intimidating at times. Because of my background working in education and care-based roles, I’m patient, calm, and encouraging. I want my lessons to feel like a safe space where you can make mistakes, ask questions, and grow.

CELTA-qualified English language teacher offering engaging, structured and learner-centred online ESOL lessons for adults. With a background in both education and professional high-accountability environments, I bring clarity, organisation and strong communication skills to every lesson.
I completed my CELTA at Oxford Teaching House (Pass), where I planned and delivered observed lessons using communicative methodology. I have experience teaching grammar, pronunciation and integrated skills, designing lessons with clear aims, logical staging and meaningful speaking practice. I adapt lessons to individual learner needs and provide constructive feedback to support steady progress.
Alongside my teaching qualification, I have over seven years of professional experience in scientific, educational and care-based roles. This background has strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly, manage time effectively and maintain a calm, supportive learning environment. My experience as a science tutor has further developed my lesson planning and differentiation skills.
