About Candace
I am a patient, professional, and encouraging English tutor from the United States with a background in education and child development. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Child Development and have several years of experience working with students in educational settings, including classroom support and language immersion environments.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence in English in a way that feels supportive, engaging, and achievable. I understand that learning a new language can feel intimidating, especially when speaking, and I work to create a comfortable environment where students feel safe asking questions, making mistakes, and growing at their own pace.
I specialize in working with children, beginner learners, and conversational English students who want to improve speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading, and confidence in everyday American English.

My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, interactive, and personalized. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and actively participating in a supportive environment. Learning English should feel engaging and achievable—not overwhelming.
I adapt lessons to each student’s age, confidence level, learning style, and personal goals. For beginner learners, I focus on building a strong foundation through clear explanations, repetition, visual support, guided conversation, pronunciation practice, vocabulary building, and real-life communication skills. For children, I use engaging, age-appropriate activities that keep lessons interactive and fun while supporting language growth and confidence.
A typical lesson may include conversation practice, pronunciation support, vocabulary building, reading activities, listening practice, guided questions, games (for younger learners), and practical English students can use in everyday life. Lessons are flexible and adjusted based on each learner’s progress and needs.
What sets me apart is my educational background in child development combined with real classroom experience supporting learners in educational and language-focused environments. I understand that every student learns differently, and I work hard to create lessons that feel approachable, encouraging, and tailored—not one-size-fits-all.
My lessons are best suited for children, beginner English learners, students who need extra support with speaking, pronunciation, reading, or confidence, and conversational learners who want to improve everyday American English in a relaxed and supportive setting.
