About Melissa
I am a retired teacher (2021), having taught for 26 years in Ontario. I have taught in the regular classroom K-8, teaching all subjects. After obtaining my Special Education specialist, I worked as a Special Education Consultant, working throughout the school board assisting administrators, teachers and students in providing the best education plan for each child. Some duties included designing individual and group academic programmes, assigning appropriate staff to schools and organizing services for high needs students.

My teaching philosophy is hands on with real world connections. I am experienced with both elementary students and high school students to grade 10 in all subject areas. I taught English and Maths as well as all elementary subjects. My hope is to prepare our children for their place in society.
