About Kay Lynn
I am a writer (prose and drama) and aspiring theatre maker. In school, I did English Literature, History, Economics, Mathematics. I also wrote an extended essay on theatre and literature. As a tutor, I am patient and able to give constructive feedback on students' writing. My second language is Mandarin and I am also able to help students more fluent in Mandarin who wish to improve their English.

A typical lesson will last 1.5 hours and consist of a lesson on an aspect of writing or literary analysis, a writing exercise, and feedback on this exercise. I will also provide feedback on any other writing that the student would like to have looked over. I have 1.5 years of experience tutoring at the secondary school level. My focus is teaching core essay writing, creative writing, and literary analysis skills. Please note that I do not believe in writing on behalf of students as this goes against my beliefs in academic integrity. I also do not claim to be able to teach anyone to be a creative writer, I can only provide guidance to help students find their voices!
