About Eleanor
My name is Eleanor Loseby, I am a freelance illustrator and artist from Leicester, UK. I have recently graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Illustration and Animation BA and I am now studying a masters degree in Illustration.
I love working with students to inspire creativity and help aspiring artists reach their full potential. I have been through the exam system myself and understand the criteria examiners look for when marking A level and GCSE Art. My experience of exams has also provided me with helpful techniques to cope with exam stress and managing coursework.

My lessons are for anyone weather you are a student wanting coursework support or a hobbyist wanting to improve your skills.
Each lesson we will pick 1 main goal to work towards and explore the theory and practical to help get you to your desired outcome. Each lesson will be structured differently to meet individual student needs while maintaining a fun and relaxing learning environment.
Examples of subjects may include (but is by no means restricted to):
-How to analyse a piece of artwork (with feedback on written work)
-Sketchbook/portfolio reviews and feedback
-Colour theory (perfect for high school students)
-Drawing and painting guidance
-exam preperation
• The typical length of a lesson is 60 minutes. - if we go over this time I may recommend a 5 minute break or a change in tasks to maximise your learning. Shorter lessons are also available for certain topics so please let me know if you have a specific interest in mind.
Here are a few things about me:
- I have received A’s and A* in both GCSE and A-level in Art as well as a First Class Honours degree in Illustration and Animation.
- I have an extensive knowledge of photoshop and adobe software and use it every day in my freelance practice.
- I received awards for “art student of the year” in my GCSES and “student of the year for creativity” at A-Levels.
- I ran art lessons for high school students for 18 months at Beauchamp college Leicester after school as well as multiple art workshops for children and teenagers.
- Analysing artwork is one of my favourite things to do (besides draw!) so if you need any advice on art analysis I would love to help. (I also have an A level in English literature which aids critical writing too!)
- I am currently studying a part-time masters degree in illustration
- I have a DBS Certificate
I have a lot of experience from doing Art and design exams myself so I understand the critiria that examiners look for and the stress exams can cause. With this in mind I try to keep my lesson fun and creative as well as informative to help you achieve your goals.

Perfect! Ellie is a great Tutor- I have had 3 out of the 5 lessons I bought as a package. I am a mature student on my foundation year of visual communications. Ellie has helped me progress with Photoshop, Indesign, and is now helping with Procreate. I have also found it useful discussing my projects with her. She is knowledgeable, patient, and generous with her time providing screenshots for extra help outside lessons. I would thoroughly recommend her as a tutor.
Perfect! Eleanor is nice and knowledgeable! She tailors her class to the needs of the student and can quickly pinpoint where I need to improve on my art. :)

I've known Eleanor for a few years, since she came to one of my Yoga retreats. I was immediately struck by her kind and gentle presence and blown away by her artistic and creative talent.
