About Ruth
I am a third-year Politics and International Relations student at UCL, and going on to study a masters in Journalism in September. I have worked as a tutor during my studies for three years, and have independently organised and sourced my own clients. All of my students have experienced an increase in their grades. I have also worked as an editor for a UCL academic publication for two years. Through this, I have developed excellent written skills and a key eye for how written work can be improved. I am confident in tutoring Secondary School (GCSE and A Level) students, but also older students wanting to learn about English or Politics.

My main aims through tutoring not just to help them improve in their subject, but to boost their confidence and interest in a subject. By doing so, I create a friendly and constructive rapport with students. Lessons are usually an hour long, and are highly flexible based on how a student learns best, and what they want to focus on. They range from discussing and analysing texts together, writing essay plans, teaching key terminology, and improving a student's own writing.
