About Christian
I am a 21 year old undergraduate student, able to assist in the teaching of sciences to students who may find certain topic areas challenging. I would consider myself to be a friendly and relatable person, who can empathise with young people and help them build confidence and knowledge within their studies. I am aware that uncertainty in a particular topic can lower a student's self-confidence in the subject area, and lessons will aim to build up this confidence through active learning and patient explanation. I am fully DBS checked, and work part-time as a lifeguard for North Tyneside Council outside of my academic studies. I have also spent a week as a teaching assistant at Simonside Primary school. I have taken part in work experience for the NHS in the laboratory, observing analysis and treatment of samples.

Lessons will aim to help students understand the topic area and feel more confident in the subject and topic areas. Processes/ideas in subject material are broken down and visualised so students can learn effectively and engage with the content. I find using step by step diagrams and active participation from students a great way for them to understand the subject material, and build upon their knowledge from school. -1 hour lessons (flexible). Online via Teams preferred. These can either be ongoing or single lessons to deal with any problem topic areas students may be struggling with. -Key stage 4 (year 11) and below. -Previous experience tutoring GCSE students in biology, chemistry & physics. -9 GCSEs obtained - A grades in all sciences -3 A-levels obtained - Biology/ Chemistry/ Psychology Currently studying BSc Biomedical Science at Northumbria University.
