Hi! My name's John and I study aeronautical engineering which I love because it allows me to apply technical skills (like maths, physics and programming) using a hands on approach in order to solve problems.
I received 8 A*s at GCSE and received the equivalent of A*A*A at A-level studying Maths, Physics and Economics.

When studying for exams, I found that working through problems was the best way for me to learn and consolidate what I was studying. Because of this, I believe that the best way to teach is also through allowing the student to get right in to working through questions. I've been applying this during my 5 years working as a tutor.
Before my sessions, I first like to identify the areas that my students feel that they would like to work over. I then prepare a list of questions accordingly.
In the sessions, I then gently guide my students through being able to answer these questions (or any others that they are struggling on), giving advice and guidance where it is needed. With this, I aim to put the students in a position where they are capable of answering questions on the topic and have confidence in their abilities as well.
Questions are always encouraged and answered!
