Is Afrikaans my first language? No. Is Afrikaans my favorite language? Absolutely! I’ve tried my best to be the best performing student since grade 4—and to my surprise—it has absolutely worked. When granted the opportunity to further study, I took Afrikaans as the First Additional language that I would study. In my two years of filling in for absent Afrikaans teachers in government schools, I have had nothing but positive feedback. Ek is jou gunstelling juffrou!
