About Faisal
My name’s Mohammed Faisal Alam and I am a 3rd year BBA student at the University of New Brunswick, with a double major in Accounting and Finance, alongside a minor in Economics.
I am a results-oriented student with a strong academic record making it to the Dean’s List. My area of focus has always been on studying accounting and finance, and I am working towards my CPA designation currently, taking all the required courses. For the last term, I worked as the academic tutor for accounting at my university too. Being a tutor, I have learned to tackle some big challenges like coaching students in an easy-to-understand language, maintaining the classroom environment during the sessions, and tracking the academic progress of each student.
In both my academic and professional life, I have been consistently praised as hard-working by my professors and peers. I have also received the "Excellence in Accounting Award" at the Business Excellence Gala Awards 2023. This award is presented each year to a student who has shown exemplary dedication in the field of accounting. I have also been recently awarded the “Outstanding Student Award”, which is a scholarship achievement provided by the business society each year to a student who has successfully demonstrated academic excellence.

I have previous experience working as an accounting tutor at the University of New Brunswick. I am trained in teaching both in a classroom environment and online platforms. I am working towards my CPA designation so I have been well brushed with university-level accounting and finance courses. I prefer going through each concept in detail and making my teaching plan structured toward getting a good grade in the course. I make sure I analyze the whole course outline so that I can maximize the return from the course on the basis of what the professor expects.
I prefer teaching accounting, finance, economics, and statistics courses for first and second-year students.
