About Scott
Hello! I’m a PhD student at the University of Strathclyde, having recently obtained a masters degree in Biomedical Engineering. My research involves medical device design, cardiac prosthetics and fluid dynamics,
I’ve been tutoring for two years and have gained experience when tutoring both individual/groups of students preparing for GSCE's, and for final year exams at university. This has ranged from explaining background theory, equation derivation, completing worked examples, assessing work, looking for common errors and finding ways for the student to complete complex problems more efficiently.

I enjoy teaching students by working through example questions after a basic explanation of the background theory.
With this interactive approach, I encourage students to ask questions as much as possible while they gain experience in working through problems which gradually increase in difficulty.
Additionally, I provide videos where I systematically work through problems sent to me by the student, explaining my thought process at each step, and if there are any tricks to help remember certain methods.
