About Jack
I'm a composer, sound designer and native Northerner, making music and sounds for film, TV, podcasts and games. I regularly work on shows for the BBC, Netflix and Amazon, and my commercial music releases have been played on national radio.
I started teaching music production just over 3 years ago. I get a huge boost from seeing students progress during our time together, and can't wait to hear about where you're up to and where you want to go. Video tutorials are a great starting point, but (at least in my experience!) take forever to get to the point and kill your flow. I like my lessons to be as interactive as possible, totally focused on making music, and pitched at the right technical level for the student.
I also offer tuition in all parts of audio post-production for film and TV.

My lessons are geared towards nurturing creativity, forging your own sound and having fun. I aim to give you the technical knowledge, creative guidance and handy tricks that make music production fluid, frustration-free and rewarding. You do the rest. All of my courses are bespoke to the student's level, objectives and genres. I teach Music Production and Mixing in Ableton, as well as Audio Post-Production in Pro Tools. Lessons are typically 1 hour.
