About Shouryata

Hello! I’m an ACCA part-qualified finance and accounting professional with over 8 years of practical industry experience.

I have two ACCA exams remaining and have built my experience working in finance and accounting roles, giving me a strong understanding of both accounting principles and their practical application in business.

Throughout my career, I have worked with various accounting and ERP systems, including SAP Finance/SAP FICO, Sage and Xero. This has helped me understand how accounting concepts are applied in real business processes and systems.

I enjoy helping students and learners understand accounting in a simple, clear and practical way. I believe accounting becomes much easier when you understand the reason behind each transaction rather than simply memorising rules.

I’m happy to work with complete beginners, Commerce and accounting students, adults looking to improve their accounting knowledge, or anyone who wants to understand how accounting works in a real business environment.

My approach is friendly, patient and focused on building a strong foundation that students can use confidently in their studies and future careers.

About the lesson

My lessons are practical, structured and tailored to each student’s level and learning goals.

I believe accounting is much easier to understand when you learn both the theory and how it is applied in real businesses and accounting systems.

We can start from the basics and gradually progress to more advanced accounting and finance concepts. Depending on your requirements, lessons can cover:

• Accounting fundamentals, terminology and double-entry bookkeeping
• Debit and credit with practical examples
• Journal entries, ledgers and trial balances
• Financial statements and financial reporting
• Bank reconciliation, accruals, prepayments and depreciation
• Practical bookkeeping and accounting scenarios
• Understanding how transactions flow through an ERP system
• Introduction to SAP Finance / SAP FICO
• Sage and Xero accounting processes
• Connecting accounting theory with real-world business transactions

For example, rather than only learning a debit and credit entry, I will explain the business transaction behind it, why the entry is required, how it affects the accounts and financial statements, and how the transaction may be processed within an ERP or accounting system.

Lessons can be adapted for complete beginners, Commerce students, accounting students, adults changing careers, or anyone looking to strengthen their practical accounting knowledge.

I use simple explanations, real-world examples, questions and exercises to make the lessons interactive and easy to follow.

My aim is not just to help you memorise accounting rules, but to help you understand why accounting works the way it does and how it is used in real businesses.
