About Una
My name is Una and I am 19 years old. I’m currently in University College Dublin studying my top choice course, Commerce International. I know first-hand how stressful the Leaving Cert can be. Even with strong results, I remember worrying about points, pressure, and whether I’d actually get where I wanted to be. That’s why I want my students to feel that they genuinely have a shot by sharing the strategies, confidence, and exam techniques that helped me achieve my H1. My aim is to reassure students, reduce stress, and show them that with the right support, high results are achievable and that Irish isn’t that scary!

My personal approach to teaching Irish is focused on exam technique, confidence, and results. Having achieved a H1 in Leaving Cert Irish, including 98% in the oral exam, attended an Irish primary school, competed as an All Ireland Irish debate finalist and overall having a passion for the Irish language, I place a strong emphasis on spoken Irish alongside exam technique. I teach students exactly how to maximise marks and their time by providing structured notes allowing students to break down essays, orals and other materials into smaller more manageable segments. My approach builds fluency and confidence giving students a realistic and proven pathway to achieving the highest grade possible.
