About Sarth
I am an aerospace engineer. I designed, built and flew a payload aircraft, then checked the numbers against a wind tunnel and a real frame. BEng (Hons), 2:1, University of Hertfordshire. Enhanced DBS.
I teach because most students are not bad at physics. They were handed a formula and never shown where it comes from. I was the person on the team who had to turn the maths into something the builder could use. That is the job here: rebuild the idea until it holds in an exam, not until it looks like notes.

I teach by derivation, not memorisation.
Most physics failure is a maths failure wearing a physics costume. I find out which before I teach anything. Then we derive the relation from the definition: suvat from constant acceleration, lift from pressure, a MATLAB loop from the equation of motion — on a blank page, with no notes open. After that: exam questions in rising difficulty, then a timed slice of a real past paper, marked against the actual scheme so the student sees what earns the mark and what does not.
I do not write the assignment. I stay until they can defend the method in an exam hall or a viva. If they are not ready, I say so early enough for it to be fixable.
Typical lesson
60 minutes.
5 minutes: last homework, what broke
15 minutes: derive the relation on a blank page
25 minutes: exam-style questions, difficulty up
10 minutes: timed past-paper slice
5 minutes: recap, homework, one line to the parent
Homework is one past paper question, due before the next session. Exam season: 90-minute blocks, two full questions, method marks included. The first lesson is a diagnostic, not a show.
Qualifications
BEng (Hons) Aerospace Engineering with Space Technology, 2:1, University of Hertfordshire. Stability and Controls Lead on a six-person aircraft we designed, built and flew for the BMFA Payload Challenge. Wind-tunnel aerofoil testing. MATLAB flight-performance models. ANSYS and CATIA finite element work checked against a physical frame to within 2%. Exam invigilator, Maidenhead College. Enhanced DBS, Update Service.
I have not spent ten years as a school teacher. I have sat the papers, built the machine, and I will not pretend a memorised formula is understanding.
