My Approach to Vocal Coaching

As a vocal coach, I focus on developing a healthy and expressive voice through a combination of technical training and artistic interpretation. My teaching methodology blends classical techniques with modern approaches tailored to each student’s needs. I emphasize proper breath control, vocal placement, resonance, and articulation while also working on performance skills, emotional expression, and confidence-building.
Teaching Techniques & Methodology

I use a structured yet flexible approach, ensuring that students build a strong vocal foundation while exploring their unique artistic style. My lessons typically include:

Warm-ups & Vocal Exercises: Focused on breath support, pitch accuracy, and vocal agility.

Technique Training: Covering vocal range expansion, resonance, and control.

Repertoire & Song Interpretation: Helping students connect emotionally with their songs.

Performance Coaching: Working on stage presence, microphone technique, and confidence.

Lesson Structure & Duration

A standard lesson lasts 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the student’s level and needs. I offer both individual and group lessons, ensuring a personalized and engaging learning experience.
My Qualifications & Experience

I have been teaching vocal technique and performance skills for two years, specializing in pop and choral singing. Currently, I am expanding my expertise at JUL Academy, refining my knowledge in vocal pedagogy.
Who Are My Lessons For?

I work with students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced singers. Whether you’re looking to improve vocal technique, prepare for performances, or simply gain confidence in singing, my lessons are designed to support your personal vocal journey.

  • When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

I first developed a passion for music in my childhood. I used to listen to the radio and learn the songs I heard there, which inspired me to start singing. My favorite instrument is the piano because I love its sound. I think it is a very elegant, romantic, and sophisticated instrument.
  • Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

My favorite bands are Shinedown and Queen. I can listen to their music on repeat without ever getting tired of it. Their songs always make me feel something different, whether it's motivation, excitement, nostalgia, or comfort. I love the powerful vocals, meaningful lyrics, and emotional energy in their music. No matter how many times I hear their songs, they never lose their impact and always help me connect with my emotions.
  • Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

I can't recommend one particular course because every artist is unique and has different goals, strengths, and challenges. What may be the most valuable course for one student might not be the right choice for another.
However, I truly believe that the courses offered by Jul Academy are incredibly inspiring and effective. They combine practical knowledge with real-world experience and help musicians develop both their technical skills and artistic expression. What I appreciate most is that these courses encourage continuous growth, creativity, and confidence.
  • What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

In my opinion, the piano is one of the most complicated instruments to master. It requires excellent coordination because both hands often play completely different parts at the same time, while the performer must also maintain rhythm, dynamics, and musical expression.
Beyond the technical challenges, piano playing demands a deep understanding of music theory, harmony, and interpretation. What makes it especially difficult is that mastering the instrument is a lifelong journey—there is always something new to learn and improve. At the same time, that is what makes the piano so beautiful and inspiring. Its rich and expressive sound can convey a wide range of emotions, from joy and excitement to tenderness and sadness, making every performance a unique experience.
  • What are your keys to success?

My keys to success are perseverance and consistent practice. I believe that the most important thing is to never give up, even when progress feels slow. Every skill takes time to develop, and challenges are a natural part of the learning process.
I always remind myself that small steps lead to big changes. Even a few minutes of focused practice each day can make a significant difference over time. Success is not about achieving perfection overnight—it's about staying committed, being patient with yourself, and continuing to move forward one step at a time.
  • Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

If I picture a late-night bar in the early hours of the morning, the kind of place where conversations become more honest and music feels almost tangible, I would choose three artists whose creativity completely reshaped performance and emotion.
First would be Freddie Mercury. I would want to understand how he carried such power and vulnerability at the same time on stage. His ability to connect with thousands of people while still making every performance feel personal is something rare, almost theatrical in the deepest sense. I imagine him talking about music as pure expression without fear.
Second is Michael Jackson. I would be fascinated by his discipline and perfectionism—how he turned every movement, sound, and pause into part of a bigger emotional story. His work feels like it lives between music, dance, and storytelling, and I think he would speak about performance as something you refine endlessly until it feels effortless.
And third would be Lady Gaga. I would want to talk with her about identity, reinvention, and artistic courage. She brings emotion and theatricality together in a very modern way, and at the same time, there is a strong sense of vulnerability in her work that makes it very human.
Together, I imagine this meeting as something intense but inspiring—three different eras and styles, all connected by one thing: the desire to turn music into something that truly moves people, not just sounds good, but feels unforgettable.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

When I learn a song, I often create funny associations to help me to remember the lyrics. I connect words and phrases to small mental images or little "stories" is my head. Sometimes this associations are completely silly, but that's exactly why they work so well for me.
  • What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

What I think makes a Superprof in music is not just technical knowledge, but the small, human touches that turn lessons into real artistic growth.
First, it’s the ability to really listen—to the student’s voice, their fears, their strengths, and even what they are not saying. Every singer has a different sound and personality, so I adapt my approach instead of forcing a “one-size-fits-all” method.
Second, I pay attention to emotional connection. Singing is not only about correct notes—it’s about telling a story. I try to help students feel the music, not just perform it correctly, so that every song becomes meaningful for them.
Another important detail is making learning creative and accessible. I often use simple explanations, visual images, and even fun associations so difficult techniques feel natural and easier to remember.
And finally, I believe consistency and encouragement matter a lot. I focus on small improvements and help students notice their progress step by step, because confidence grows from those little victories.
For me, being a Superprof in music means combining professionalism with warmth, structure with creativity, and technique with real emotional expression.
