About Udit
I'm a software engineer with professional industry experience and a strong background in teaching students across different academic levels. I have taught undergraduate and graduate students at Rutgers University, as well as younger students in diverse learning environments, which has helped me develop a patient, structured, and adaptable teaching style. Many of the students I've taught have gone on to earn A grades and build strong confidence in their subjects. I take my role as a tutor seriously and focus on creating a learning environment that is supportive, engaging, and respectful. My teaching style is approachable while maintaining clear structure and expectations, which helps students feel comfortable asking questions and staying motivated. In academic settings, I've been involved in preparing assessments, reviewing solutions, and ensuring grading accuracy, which allows me to design effective practice problems and exam-focused preparation. I'm reliable, well-prepared for each session, and committed to helping students make meaningful, long-term progress.

My teaching approach is built on one core belief: if a concept feels confusing, it hasn't been explained simply enough yet. As a student, I sometimes found that math and information technology concepts weren't explained clearly, which pushed me to break ideas down to their foundations and rebuild them in a way that truly made sense. I bring that same approach to my students, adapting explanations to different learning styles and personalities.
Typical Lesson Plan (example: Math - Pythagorean Theorem)
- Introduce the concept by explaining why the theorem exists and how it was discovered
- Build intuition using real-life examples (shortest paths, distance, efficiency)
- Explain why the formula works instead of asking students to memorize it
- Solve guided examples together step by step
- Practice in-class problems to check understanding
- Assign targeted homework to reinforce learning and build confidence
Typical Lesson Plan (example: IT - Python Objects and Classes)
- Explain the idea of objects and classes using real-world analogies
- Clarify common confusions in simple language before introducing syntax
- Write pseudocode together to structure thinking
- Translate pseudocode into clean Python code
- Practice small in-class exercises to apply the concept
- Assign follow-up problems to strengthen understanding
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to simplify complex ideas without losing depth. I have taught undergraduate and graduate students at Rutgers University, as well as younger students aged 10 and above in different learning environments. I also offer flexible pacing, including accelerated learning and focused revision sessions for exams, interviews, or short-term goals.
My lessons are for students aged 10 and up, including middle and high school students, college undergraduates and graduates, and adults. I teach math (arithmetic, trigonometry, algebra) and IT topics including Python programming, object-oriented concepts, web development, and practical Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
