Dawna is kind, flexible, and knows the ASL community well. She has a pleasant disposition and is a patient teacher. I enjoy learning from her because she has a nice sense of humor and is not critical but instead takes the time to explain how the ASL signs are made and if need be some of the origin of the sign.

I had the pleasure of working with Dawna in our recent sign language class, and I couldn’t be more impressed with her attention and dedication. From the very beginning, Dawna showed a genuine interest in teaching me and quickly helped me grasp the fundamentals of sign language. Their ability to pick up new signs and apply them in conversation was outstanding. It’s clear that Dawna is passionate about sign language and committed to assist me in mastering it.

Dawna has been extremely active in our local hearing impaired community, contributing her knowledge and skills to many events. She has also continued to learn and develop her skills in American Sign Language.
