About Gail

I decided to change from classroom teaching to tutoring because I feel I can make more of a difference in a one-on-one situation. I witnessed too many young people falling through "the gap", losing confidence and ultimately giving up. Tutoring gives me a sense of satisfaction when I see students achieving - many of my students have become professionals - doctors, physiotherapists, nurses, solicitors and engineers, to name just a few., and their success makes me proud to have been part of their journey.

About the lesson

Sometimes there is something that you just can't grasp. Teachers do not have time to explain individually, and you just go on, not really understanding a concept. That's what I'm here for - to clarify what you need to know to pass those tests and blitz those assignments. I identify the gaps and tailor exercises to target those missing pieces of the puzzle. The remedial process may take several lessons, and in the case of senior assignments, it can take a number of lessons of more than 60 minutes to compose and edit your submission.
I have taught and tutored for almost 40 years; I am a QCAA marker for the NAPLAN writing task, as well as for the ATAR writing task, and can steer you towards success in these.
