I currently hold the position of Second Reader at First Church of Christ, Scientist, San Francisco and have been participating in the church services for which Andrej Markovic plays on a bi-weekly basis.

Mr. Markovic has been our organist and pianist for the past 15 months. He has brought much joy to our congregation with his playing. Visitors often ask where we found such a fine musician. We feel very blessed to have a musician of such caliber to inspire our bi-weekly services.

I have observed Mr. Markovic interact with some of the children on occasion and admired how easily and joyfully he relates to them.

I was fortunate enough to engage Mr. Markovic myself for private piano lessons
last year, and I look forward to resuming my lessons again in the Spring. I found him to be very patient and encouraging. He seemed to intuit exactly the kind of music that was right for me and what pace of instruction would best fit my skill level and interest. He put me at ease and encouraged my progress with his enthusiasm during our sessions. He has also introduced me to new classical music that was unfamiliar to me, expanding my musical interests even more. He brings a delightful energy to both his teaching and playing that inspires his students and listeners.

The enthusiasm Mr. Markovic expresses in his work is quite contagious. He is very personable as well as professional and reliable. He takes his work very seriously and is very devoted to his students, his teaching, and to his art. Any organization would find him a wonderful asset to enhance their worship service or musical staff.

Andrej has such a special ability to communicate piano technique and musicality to his students. I have had lessons with him and he has always approached my questions/curiosities/concerns with such kindness and patience. He is very friendly and easy to get along with. He has such a strong passion for the piano and for spreading his knowledge of it. I highly recommend taking a piano lesson with Andrej!

Andrej has taught me piano for the last three years and he is an excellent teacher! He always communicates clearly to me about lesson times and is always on time to our lessons. I have improved a lot since studying with him. He has specifically helped me improve my hand technique, get a warm sound on the piano by paying attention to voicing, and has increased my musicality by showing me how to feel the emotion of the music. He also has a deep knowledge of the piano repertoire and has found some little-known pieces for me to learn that are delightful. Andrej is also an excellent pianist and it is a joy to attend his recitals and be inspired to practice for my next lesson!
