About MJ
As a tutor, I bring a warm, homely personality that makes students feel comfortable and supported in their learning journey. I am also deeply accepting and understanding, recognising that every student learns at their own pace and in their own way. My ability to connect with students on a personal level allows me to motivate, encourage, and guide them towards success, making learning both effective and enjoyable.

Under my tutelage, you can take Cs and Ds up to Bs and As in the span of a few months or even weeks as I focus on; Helping my students create the most sophisticated discursive, argumentative or creative essays that they can for their portfolios, Understanding narrative and literary techniques used in writing and reading assessments such as Reading for Understanding, Analysis and Evaluation (RUAE), Navigating English grammar and spelling, Developing Critical Reading skills, Mastering spoken English so they speak more eloquently, and Understanding the SQA marking scheme and where they can pick up marks in exams.
