About Katya
I am in my mid twenties, A practicing puppeteer and puppet maker, I am kind and creative, a lover of stories and concepts, of observing landscapes and people and how they interact, then recreating that within my Art or performances. I believe art can be a great therapy for expression. And i am eager to share the knowledge i have learnt in the last 10 years of studying in the Arts. I am passionate about passing down learnt crafts and skills to the next generation, allowing them to grow better and ever more passionate.

With a wide variety of skills in the Arts i can teach in depth from drawing, painting and sculpture to reflective writing. I am a practicing artist and puppet theatre maker with a great passion for anything art related. i pride myself in allowing my students to grow in confidence, imagination and skills. Every lesson is specifically planned for each student to thrive and reach their individual goals - whether it be passing your Art GCSE or A level, getting your portfolio ready for an interview to university or simply just improving at something you love. Having experience in being the head of art at a nursery, my lessons can be adapted to teaching children aged 7 and above, i believe art is an empowering tool for self expression. I can also teach specialised puppet making and performing workshops for children and adults.

Katya tutored my daughter for her gcse Art and I was very impressed with her reliability, patience and creativity. She was always cheerful and a joy to have around. My daughter really enjoyed the sessions and did very well in her art gcse. My daughter is now doing A level art and we will have Katya again in the new year for further sessions.

Details
The lessons can take place in my Studio, in new cross which is apart of the organisation Art hub. I share this studio with two others, a fashion designer and an illustrator and puppet maker. Our studio is the perfect place to have specialised lessons in an Authentic setting full of insperation. I will supply a majority of the materials needed for each lesson.
