About Holly
Having completed my Biology degree at Oxford and TeachFirst Programme in Yorkshire, I am now a fully qualified Science teacher currently working as an Assistant Principal, responsible for Teaching & Learning at an Outstanding state academy in central London. I have taught students aged 11-18 and of all abilities for the past 10 years, and have experience tutoring outside of the classroom for both KS3, GCSE, IBDP and A-Level exams. I have experience of exam boards including Edexcel, AQA, OCR and iGCSE among others
I hold a BA (Hons) in Biological Sciences from Keble College, Oxford University and a PGCE with distinction through the TeachFirst programme.
I am a dedicated, enthusiastic teacher and love the opportunities of working with students 1:1 through tutoring. As ex Head of Sixth Form for my school, and with previous experience working with Oxford University's Target Schools programme, I also have considerable experience supporting students with University preparation and applications

I've spent 10 years teaching and tutoring and believe strongly that engaging lessons, clear explanations and careful addressing of scientific misconceptions can help any student succeed in Science.
My lessons rely on a clear, organised approach, auditing prior knowledge, then focusing on specific areas students find challenging. I assess student learning regularly and ensure students develop confidence articulating their understanding of science.
