About Courtney
I am interested in Kpop, Jrock and am new to the world of Anime and Manga. In my spare time I like to be with my cats, family and friends. Australia has a strong outdoors lifestyle, and I love to be in nature and exploring new places.
I am the Training Coordinator at my local Emergency Services unit, where we have over 100 members (volunteers) and I also work in the Learning and Development projects for the Emergency Service staff members. I like to understand how the student best learns, I myself am a kinesthetic learner and prefer visual aids, as well as creative elements such as sound, color and leveraging off my personal interests. Feedback is also a crucial part of my practice. I have done various courses over the years in how to best provide (and receive) feedback! Please note that as an Australian native speaker, I do use British UK spelling and not American spelling. Feel free to arrange a session with me to see if we are a compatible match. It is best to learn (and teach) someone that you work well with. I would like to understand how to best structure and set the lesson plan, so that you feel confident about hitting your goals. We all start somewhere, so please don't be overwhelmed, I am here to help you.

I tailor every lesson to the student's needs, learning style and objectives. Depending on the student's goals, lessons you can expect to cover may include:

I use constructive feedback throughout lessons and provide practical tips that students can immediately apply in their daily lives, studies or careers.
I am open to any ages and will adjust lessons accordingly regarding timing and duration of a lesson. I aim to build your confidence, not just your speech.
I hold a Certificate III in Business Administration, Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety, Certificate IV in Marketing and Communications and I am currently scheduled to complete an Advanced Certificate IV in Training and Assessing in December this year. My work portfolio consists of over 15 years (but not limited to)
