About Ella

Hi! I'm Ella, a Bachelor of Arts graduate and a Bachelor of Education student preparing to become a certified teacher. I have experience working one-on-one with students as a teaching assistant and supporting children's learning in a daycare setting, where I developed a patient, encouraging, and adaptable approach to education.

I know that every student learns differently, and my goal is to create a positive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and growing in confidence. Whether we're reviewing classroom material, preparing for an upcoming test, improving reading and writing skills, or completing homework, I strive to make learning engaging and meaningful.

I believe that success comes from understanding concepts rather than memorizing answers. My lessons are personalized to each student's strengths, learning style, and goals, allowing them to build lasting skills that extend beyond the classroom. I celebrate progress, no matter how small, and work hard to ensure every student leaves each session feeling more confident than when they arrived.

About the lesson

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to meet their individual needs, learning style, and goals. Rather than simply giving answers, I focus on helping students understand concepts, develop problem-solving skills, and build the confidence to work independently. I create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress.

A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by introducing or reinforcing new concepts through clear explanations, examples, and interactive activities. We then work through practice questions together before students complete independent practice to strengthen their understanding. I regularly check for comprehension and adjust the pace of the lesson to ensure each student feels challenged without becoming overwhelmed.

What sets me apart is my combination of academic training and real-world experience. I hold a Bachelor of Arts and am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Education to become a certified teacher. I have worked one-on-one with students as a teaching assistant, supported children in a daycare setting, and developed strong communication and relationship-building skills through these experiences. I understand that learning is about more than grades—it's about helping students gain confidence, stay motivated, and discover that they are capable of success.

I offer tutoring for elementary students across all core subjects, as well as English, reading, writing, literacy, study skills, and homework support for elementary and secondary students.
