About Nathan
I’m a 23-year-old tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students achieve their best. I hold a 2.1 degree in History and Politics from University College Dublin and earned a H2 in History in my Leaving Certificate. My studies have equipped me with excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills, which I bring into each lesson. My teaching style is structured, patient, and engaging. I tailor my lessons to each student’s individual needs, focusing on understanding, essay structure, and effective study techniques. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident, motivated, and well-prepared — whether they’re working toward exams, improving their writing, or exploring new ideas in History and Politics.

I achieved a H2 in my Leaving Certificate and hold a 2.1 degree in History and Politics from University College Dublin. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in research, essay writing, and analytical thinking, all of which I incorporate into my lessons. I believe in creating engaging, discussion-based lessons that help students develop both subject knowledge and critical thinking skills. My approach focuses on understanding rather than memorization — encouraging students to make connections between ideas, form arguments, and express themselves clearly in both written and oral work. I use a mix of short presentations, guided practice questions, essay planning exercises, and feedback sessions. I also tailor my methods to each student’s learning style, using past exam papers and marking schemes to build exam confidence where relevant.
