About Matthew
I am in the final year of my Bachelor of arts/Bachelor of Education combined degree with a Major in Drama and a Minor in Math at the University of Alberta. I currently have 3 years of online tutoring experience and have recently taught Math 10C in an Edmonton High School.
I run my sessions with a screen shared view of my Microsoft surface tablet, where I can provide handwritten notes alongside my math lessons.
In my free time I enjoy playing and teaching board games with my friends. I also specialize in the technical aspects of Drama through lighting design and set construction.

I cover all streams of math from grades 9-12.
Lessons are structured around specific areas where the student wants to grow their skills. Taking advantage of the one-on-one nature of tutoring lessons, I can take the time to work through examples step by step with the student, and explain not only what steps to take, but why we are taking those steps. When I am working with a student, I like to be informed on what they have been doing in their classes and how they like to learn in their classes so I can better connect my lessons to their work within their classrooms.
