About Simren

I am currently a second-year BCom Economics student at the University of Pretoria. I have a passion for learning and enjoy helping others build confidence in their academic abilities. I am patient, approachable, and believe that every learner is capable of success when given the right support and encouragement.

I understand the challenges that learners can face and the importance of creating a positive and supportive learning environment. My goal is to help students not only improve their marks but also develop confidence, independence, and a genuine enjoyment of learning.

About the lesson

I create fun, interactive English lessons tailored to each learner’s individual needs and level. Whether your child needs help with reading comprehension, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, or writing, I provide clear explanations and engaging activities to make learning enjoyable. As someone who enjoys reading, I particularly want to help learners develop a stronger relationship with English while building the skills they need at school. My lessons focus on communication, comprehension, creativity, and confidence, with activities adapted to suit different learning styles. I teach in English and aim to create a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable expressing themselves, asking questions, and learning from their mistakes. My lessons are aimed at prep-school learners who want to strengthen their English skills and become more confident readers and writers.

I first connected with Simren when I needed help preparing for an important interview, and her guidance made all the difference. She patiently worked with me on my communication skills, helping me express myself clearly and confidently. What stood out most was how she tailored each lesson to my needs, giving practical examples and constructive feedback that boosted my confidence. Thanks to her support, I walked into the interview feeling prepared and capable. Simren is not only a skilled tutor but also someone who genuinely cares about her students’ success, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their English.

Simren is the best tutor I’ve had! As I got into older grades English essay writing and comprehension become more difficult. She has helped me structure my answers perfectly and is so patient with me. I’ve seen a huge improvement in my grades and I’m so grateful to have an amazing tutor!
