About Lizzy

I am a recent graduate from UCLA who grew up a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults), using ASL to communicate with both my parents, it is a language that is a part of my identity. Whether you’re just starting out, want to improve your conversational skills, or are curious about Deaf culture, I can help you build confidence and fluency. I focus on real-world signing, conversational skills, and cultural context, not just memorizing signs.

About the lesson

A typical lesson plan may include:
- Warm up greetings and check in, teaching you how to introduce yourself and respond.
- Various themed signs of the day. Categories may include: Family members, verbs, animals, everyday phrases, introductory lessons.
-Conversational practice. Using the signs we just reviewed/learned in a conversational setting.
-Deaf cultural insights/practices.
