About Joan
Students transitioning from casual play to structured competition form the core of my practice. Over 80 rated tournaments across Australia and internationally have provided me with 7 years of practical insight to share. My coaching method emphasizes blunder checking and opening principles to refine board vision while sharpening calculation and visualization.
I focus on technical proficiency through recording and notation, a competitive mindset, and precise game analysis. Defensive technique and complex pawn structures are also regular components of our study. These sessions represent the culmination of my journey as an International Master, offering you a clear path forward.
