About Margaret
Hi! My name is Meg (she/her), and I'm a current third year at UC Berkeley pursuing a double major in Environmental Sciences and Society & Environment.
I have experience as a summer teacher for 1st-3rd graders in the subjects of Math, English, Vocabulary, Grammar, and Reading Comprehension, as well as a high school peer tutor for students taking Honors Chemistry, Honors Geometry, and Honors English. Additionally, I've worked with kids in STEM summer camps in creative and fun settings, totaling in 5 years of tutoring and teaching experience.
I'm very passionate about finding joy in learning, and I hope to bring this perspective to lessons!

As a current student myself, I fully believe in prioritizing truly learning material over the grade on your transcript. My main goal is to help students gain more confidence with the material they struggle with, instead of focusing on studying to achieve an A or good test score.
Math:
- I have experience teaching 1st-3rd grade mathematics including arithmetic, fractions/decimals/percentages, word problems, etc, as well as experience in tutoring high school Honors Geometry and Honors Chemistry. I was also an AP Environmental Science student.
- Math Lessons can be provided for Elementary or Middle school math classes, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus, and statistics.
The structure for lessons in any subject can be adjusted to each student's needs, and I am able to provide supplemental worksheets or problems as requested.
