About Vanessa
I have taught for four years, two of those as an ESL instructor at a bilingual school in Spain. Though my services are best suited to Spanish speakers, as I have a B.A. in Spanish and have worked previously to help Spanish speakers develop English language skills, I am also equipped to support students of other backgrounds. I have worked with students in a pre-k and primary school to develop their listening, speaking, and writing skills, and I have assisted high school and university aged students in preparing for English language certification exams.

For language acquisition especially, I think it is very important to have a tutor you trust, and who you feel comfortable practicing and making mistakes in front of. I always try to put students at ease, and help them move out of their comfort zone a bit in order to develop the language skills they desire. I believe that personalized attention is important, and I tailor lessons to each student's level and needs.
