About Navin
I am Navin Nair, serving as a Vice Principal in an International School in KL. As a BioScience graduate from the UK, I pursue my career in the education industry, which covers Secondary Sciences under the National Curriculum and Primary to Secondary subjects under the International Curriculum. My core teaching areas include Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Modern Mathematics. I have strong experience with the UK International Curriculum, particularly Edexcel and Cambridge publications, and I am confident in designing and delivering lessons that align with Bloom's Taxonomy. My approach focuses on critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and skills development to help students succeed not just academically, but beyond the classroom. I’ve also conducted seminars on Checkpoint and IGCSE preparation, providing students with exam strategies, content mastery, and confidence-building techniques. Whether teaching at the primary or secondary level, I aim to make science accessible, engaging, and relevant to every learner. I would welcome the opportunity to bring my passion for teaching and curriculum expertise to your team. Thank you for considering my application—I look forward to the possibility of contributing to your students' academic growth. Warm regards, Navin

I begin each science lesson by activating prior knowledge through quick questioning or a short recap. This helps students connect past learning to the new topic. I then introduce the lesson objectives clearly so students know what they are aiming to learn. To make science engaging and meaningful, I use visual aids, real-life examples, and hands-on experiments wherever possible. I explain complex concepts in simple, relatable terms, using diagrams, analogies, and active questioning to check understanding. During activities, I move around the classroom to guide, support, and challenge students through inquiry-based learning. Group work and discussions are encouraged to build collaboration and critical thinking. I end each lesson with a summary of key points and a short formative task — like a quiz, reflection, or homework — to reinforce learning and track progress.
