I always begin my tutoring sessions by assessing where the student currently is. I examine how they approach their problems and see their step by step process to better understand the source of their struggle. Once a problem has been detected I provide detailed examples and practice problems to teach the student. I then make note of their problem areas and continue to revisit them in future tutoring sessions to ensure that the lesson was completely absorbed.
