About Jessica
I want to teach because I enjoy helping others understand topics that they may initially find difficult and seeing their confidence grow over time. I find it rewarding to break down complex ideas into simpler steps and support students as they progress and improve. Having worked with children and young people aged 4 to 18, including an internship at a grammar school, I’ve seen how much of a difference clear, patient support can make to a student’s learning experience. Tutoring also allows me to share my interest in maths and business while developing my own communication and teaching skills.

My tutoring approach is focused on building understanding, confidence, and strong exam technique rather than just memorisation. I begin by identifying any gaps in knowledge and then explain topics in a clear, step-by-step way, using examples before moving into guided and independent practice.
I adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs, ensuring lessons are engaging, supportive, and paced appropriately so students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their understanding over time.
A typical lesson lasts 1 hour, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs and focus level.
I am a Business and Finance university student with experience working with children and young people aged 4 to 18, including an internship at a grammar school, which has given me insight into structured learning environments and exam-focused teaching.
My lessons are suitable for KS2, KS3, GCSE, A-Level Business Studies, and 11+ preparation, and are designed for students looking to improve confidence, strengthen core skills, and achieve higher grades.
