About Sophie
Science can be really tedious and dry. I want to ensure you gain more of an interest in science. With my unique skill set (BSc and MSc both whilst working in R&D, NHS and drug development) I can provide real world applications.
Tutoring is different to teaching. I will work with you to understand how you prefer to learn and your goals. I believe in empowering you to be equipped with knowledge appropriate to your long term vision in a relaxed atmosphere.

My approach varies depending on the child and their goals. I work with the child to understand how they learn best and empower them to get the most out of our classes. I believe tutoring is different to teaching, it is more niche and 1-1 so should be treated as such. I do usually ask the child to complete some work set outside of the lessons which I can then mark and provide feedback.
I'm sure we can all remember certain teachers who resonated with us and those who didn't. I want to be a positive, engaging and interesting professional for what can be a dry subject. My unique skill set and experience means I can provide real world examples and uses to broaden understanding.
