About Vilassini
I'm a BSc.HONS in Biotechnology graduate and currently a Ph.D. student my experience and knowledge in biology is the good depth.
My goal as a tutor is to instill in my students a solid understanding of how to solve exam questions and the courage to take on challenging problems. My educational philosophy is based on the notion that learning takes place in an atmosphere of mutual respect where students are encouraged to reflect and forge new connections on their own. According to my observations, one-on-one personal tuition offers students a special benefit because it can help them overcome their own learning obstacles and establish the groundwork for a profound and long-lasting understanding of the subject.
I am a staunch advocate of tutoring for students and find great satisfaction in watching my charges reach their full potential.

The one-on-one interaction between the student and the tutor is what makes tutoring effective. With just one student to concentrate on, tutors can experiment with a number of teaching methods to determine which ones will best aid their students in understanding a subject.
Depending on the demands and learning preferences of the student, my approach changes. However, my approach to teaching is to foster independent thought in my students while using as many examples from the actual world as I can. I begin with subjects that the students are familiar with and progressively go to more difficult material as their confidence grows. I keep using queries and illustrations to make sure they are comprehended. I don't lecture or assign students to memorize anything. I also don't finish the homework for the students!
My aim as a tutor is to create in my students a deep understanding and confidence in answering exam questions and being able to tackle new and unfamiliar problems. I usually focus on exam-style or past paper questions in order to check, practice, and perfect the student’s understanding and technique. I also give a lot of emphasis to some of the less obvious but vital skills such as essay structure and technique, logical thought, and the effective use of numbers and graphs.
I believe passionately in the huge value of tutoring students and take great satisfaction in seeing my students achieve their full potential.
