About Cherry Maye
Hello! I’m a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology graduate from Occidental Mindoro State College in the Philippines. I am a patient, friendly, and dedicated tutor who enjoys helping learners improve their English skills in a comfortable and supportive environment.
I believe that learning English should be practical, engaging, and enjoyable. My goal is to help students become more confident in using English for everyday conversations, school, work, and other real-life situations. I am committed to listening to each student's needs and adapting my lessons to their level, learning pace, and personal goals.
Whether you are a beginner who wants to learn the basics or an intermediate learner who wants to improve your speaking, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or communication skills, I will do my best to guide you step by step.

My approach to teaching English is patient, friendly, and student-centered. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and practicing without fear of being judged. I focus on making English lessons practical, understandable, and relevant to each student's goals.
I use a combination of guided conversation, vocabulary building, grammar explanations, pronunciation practice, reading, and short exercises. I adjust my teaching style according to the student's English level, learning pace, and specific needs. Rather than simply giving answers, I encourage students to understand the lesson and apply what they learn in real-life situations.
A typical lesson begins with a short conversation or review of the previous lesson. We then introduce the main topic, discuss new vocabulary or grammar, and practice through guided activities. The student will have opportunities to speak, read, and answer questions throughout the lesson. At the end, we review the key points and identify areas to practice before the next session.
What sets me apart is my patient and encouraging approach. As a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology graduate from Occidental Mindoro State College, I have developed strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills that I can apply to making lessons organized and easy to understand. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students can gradually build both their English skills and confidence.
My lessons are suitable for beginners, elementary to intermediate English learners, students who want to improve their conversational English, and learners who want additional practice with grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, and everyday communication. I can also adjust lessons for students with specific learning goals and different learning paces.
