I have recently graduated and was an undergraduate writing tutor at the University of California, Riverside. Many of my students have received A's in their English writing courses and have gradually learned to write essays on their own.

My main focus is on teaching students how to write essays on their own. Typically, students would book hour-long appointments with me and we would tackle the component they needed the most help on (thesis statement, organization, grammar). Then, I would outline a future plan for the student to fix the essay on their own.
