About Emma
English is my favourite subject, I read and watch all my films and series in their original version. I am looking for a student job that makes me want to work and that I am happy to go to, I have discovered that giving private English lessons meets all these criteria.
I am listening to the student and their preferences/desires just as I listen to the expectations of parents if the student is a child.
I enjoy working with children because I have done babysitting being younger
Seeing the student improve and flourish in this subject is very important to me and I will do my best to make it happen.

Student in business school, I am looking for a weekly student job. My courses are 100% taught in English which means that I practise my English every day in class, all day.
I have studied several books in English including books written by Fitzgerald, Steinbeck, Dickens, Orwell etc.
I took the IELTS a short time ago, I obtained 7.5 / 9 corresponding to a C1 Advanced level. My classes are therefore suitable for students of all ages, beginners or not.
My teaching techniques and methods:
In the 1st class, I take a small test to assess the level of the student and thus become aware of his weaknesses and strengths.
I adapt my lessons according to the student in front of me. I tend to introduce my lessons in a more fun way (activities, interactive games etc.) if they are children in primary / early middle school.
The typical course of a 1-hour course:
- Review of previous sessions to validate knowledge and correction of exercises/homework if any (approx. 15min)
- I try to tackle at least 2 different notions (English conversation, written comprehension etc.) per course on different themes which allows working in-depth on these
1 concept = about 20 min
- 5 min of conclusion (summary of what we saw during the session and dictation of exercises/homework to do for the next session)
