About Bryan
High school students often struggle with the abstract nature of advanced math. To be honest, I find that many learners feel overwhelmed before they even begin. Over 13 years, I have refined my ability to simplify complex topics. My MSc Applied Mathematics from the University of Chicago informs my perspective.
I specialize in sequences and series along with integrals and the chain rule. Implicit differentiation and curve sketching are also mainstays of my work. Integration by parts and u-substitution remain essential tools for my pupils.
Handling area and volume problems is a standard part of my routine. I have worked with hundreds of pupils who just needed someone to clarify the process.

Grades usually improve when you stop trying to memorize steps and start understanding the logic. Counterintuitively, the less you rely on brute force, the faster you solve problems. Since I have 13 years of experience, I anticipate where students get stuck.
We look at the specific requirements for AP Calculus and ATAR exams. My focus is on turning shaky foundations into confident, methodical problem-solving. This creates a rhythm that feels much more manageable.
I adjust my explanations based on the specific hurdles of the day. It really comes down to the individual student.
