About Randall
Completing a Bachelor of Science in Statistics at UC Berkeley provided the foundation for my 12 years of tutoring. Numbers require a slow logical progression to be understood.
Most math concepts remained opaque until I learned to deconstruct the why behind every formula. High school students and exam candidates often struggle because they rush through the logic without building a mental map.
I prioritize sequences and series plus derivatives and integrals to ensure complex topics feel manageable. Differentiation rules and curve sketching are technical areas I specialize in for advanced coursework. Optimization problems and the chain rule provide the core challenges for my engineering students and ATAR candidates.
Clarity is the only objective when I explain difficult concepts to university freshmen. My method relies on systematic steps that eliminate confusion entirely. I remain committed to making the most challenging math topics feel straightforward.

Diagnostics are the most vital phase of any effective instructional plan. Students often fail because they lack the prerequisite knowledge for the current topic.
I start by identifying exact gaps in your understanding before we begin new work. You will complete a comprehensive skills check so we can build a plan.
This ensures that u-substitution or limits are not attempted before you possess the necessary foundation. My 12 years of experience show that skipping steps leads to inevitable failure on exams. We proceed at a pace that guarantees full comprehension of each derivative or integral. I will challenge your current assumptions about how to solve complex curve sketching problems.
High school and university students benefit from this rigorous approach to every single session. We will reach your target grade by focusing on the precise mechanics of your coursework.
