I find the best way to teach physics is to show students how the concepts are connected together, get them to relate the concepts to their experiences and elaborate it in their own words. It's always better to deepen understanding, reconstruct the ideas, and experiment around than just drill for the exam.
I also find it really inspirational to show student fascinating things from physics outside their syllabus
