About Ericka

Hello! My name is Teacher Ericka. I am a certified, native English speaking teacher with seven years of teaching experience. I am a published author with a background in education and the Arts. I first taught in my daughter's classroom as a volunteer teacher. I loved it so much that I re-trained at Arizona State University to be an English as a second or foreign language teacher and have been teaching English online ever since! It is by far the most rewarding work I do, something which I have sought all of my life. Learning is magical. I love teaching children and find it highly rewarding to help the next generation in this way!

About the lesson

I am a language specialist with seven years of teaching experience, a bachelor's degree from the United Kingdom, a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification, and an Arizona State University English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching certificate. My goal is for your child to speak like a native English speaker and improve their reading ability. I use very effective teaching techniques. These are specialised techniques, not widely known by other teachers, which are proven to get results quickly. I enable students to overcome any barrier to learning. This works with any problem or difficulty in learning. We will build grammar and vocabulary, improve reading comprehension, and speaking skill. I provide pronunciation and grammar correction in every lesson. I will make your child feel comfortable while learning English. I make learning fun! Your child will receive a free placement test to take in your first free lesson with me should you like to assess which international standard level of English to start with (A0-C1). One-on-one lessons will focus on what to improve most, including new vocabulary, grammar, reading aloud, conversation practice, and homework help.
