About Alex
I am a Biomedical Science student at QUT and a certified tutor working as a private contractor through a reputable Brisbane company and for my own self-run tutoring business. I have a blue card and 3+ years experience tutoring. My expertise is in middle to senior English, Biology and Chemistry, though I am comfortable teaching foundational numeracy and literacy.

My current experience is primarily with school children in grades 1-7, however I am looking to expand into tutoring high school students. I employ real life scenarios and interactive examples in my teaching in order to draw out students and engage them with the work. It's a well known fact that children are far more reciprocal to subject matter which they are legitimately interested in, so the majority of my teaching methods are based around games and creative exercises; reinforcing material through visual, aural, physical and verbal stimuli.
