I met 송아 randomly through a tutoring website almost 3 years ago now, before a trip to Korea. My goal was to learn the basics in the 6 months I had to prepare for my trip- little did I know, I would end up not only learning so much more than that, but also gaining a friend across the world! By the time I made it to Korea, I was able to order off of menus, read road/subways signs, and even speak to people here and there. Now that we’ve been learning together for almost 3 years, I am able to go to weekly intermediate Korean meetups in my area, in which I can carry conversations and meet other learners and native Korean speakers. She teaches English very politely and in a way that is easy to understand. When I studied abroad in South Korea, she proactively taught me English and Korean every day. She took me to many places. It has been about ten years already since we first met. I had just come to study abroad in South Korea and I could only speak basic greetings in English and Korean, but I gradually improved my English and Korean thanks to her. When I went home, I could speak English and Korean stress-free! So, I think she is the best teacher!

송아 is a very patient and understanding teacher. She is qualified and always well prepared for the lessons. She helped me to practice not only speaking,pronunciation but also listening. Her pronunciation and speed are easy to understand, does not hesitate to repeat something if it's not understood. With her background in english language and teaching, both korean and english flow naturally in the lesson depending on your comfort level. Study material is customized to what you need along with any topics of interest one might have, while also tracking progress and homework assignments. She is very good at using the lesson time to its fullest. I have been taking lessons from her for almost a year and very much enjoy learning Korean with her.
