About Alexandra
I have a background in Business (B.Comm) and Education (B.Ed), and I have earned my RYT-500 designation, which is a Registered Yoga Teacher - with over 500 hours of training, and over 2000 hours of teaching experience in studios, fitness centres, schools, and with youth!
Are you new to yoga? My profession as a school teacher (and yoga teacher) will help you understand the cues, words, and meaning of many yoga poses that you'll experience in a yoga class. This is a great way to start, or deepen your practice of yoga moves (asana) and yoga philosophy.

My teachings are based on the traditional yoga lineages of Ashtanga (yoga flow) and Iyengar (flexibility and stability). You will "flow" by pairing intentional breath with intentional movement. Expect a little bit of heat (tapas) in each class with sun salutations and standing poses, blended with a beautiful mix of restorative or relaxing poses.
Classes are 45-60 minutes in length, and I also aim to weave in yoga philosophy and text throughout the class!
