About Jordan
I earned my Bachelor's in Early Childhood education in 2008 and have been teaching in the classroom or online for 15 years. I spent 2 of those years teaching ESL online to all ages, another 2 teaching full submersion ESL preschool kids in Shanghai, China, and another 3 years teaching foundational reading to older ELL students. Every other year was spent in the classroom or online teaching students who required intervention services.
During the past 5 years of my teaching career, I have become certified in Wilson Reading Systems for dyslexic learners, IROS (Instructing Reading for Older Students), WIDA ACCESS (administering ESL proficiency testing), am earning a TEFL certification, and have learned much about teaching students with disabilities.
I am passionate about helping people accomplish the dreams and goals that seem to blocked by an obstacle, whether that obstacle be needing to understand and speak English or struggling to read and comprehend.

ESL lessons center on what is fun for you. Young children will stay engaged with fun games, songs, picture book conversations, videos, physically engaging activities, and more. Older children will enjoy learning through a focus on their own special interests, talents, and dreams. Adult classes will center around your current and desired proficiency level.
All reading learners will be given a diagnostic test to determine your English reading level in phonics, fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and spelling. Based on your strengths and weaknesses found through this test, we will make a plan that will be guaranteed to bring up your reading level in every area of need.
No matter your age or level of learning, you will enjoy a lesson that is exactly what you need to accomplish your ESL or reading goals.

Details
1 free hour of diagnostic testing for reading and/or ESL proficiency level placement. (Full diagnostics generally take up to 2 hours to complete.)
Discounted small group rates for ESL and Reading classes:
*All students must be at the same or similar ESL or reading proficiency level.
*All students must have a similar learning goal focus, eg- conversational English, reading fluency/comprehension, etc.
*Online learners can be added to a group by request, if demand allows.
*No groups larger than 6 people.
2 person group= $15 per person
3 person group= $12 per person
4 person group= $10 per person
5 person group= $9 per person
6 person group= $8 per person
